    CIAO!!
    joined this forum newly i m from india...
    i have a query to all romanian MERCEDES W123 FANS,,, can i find a 5 speed tranny (gearbox) for 300D w123 ????
    coz euro w123 were famous to be equipped with 5 speed trannys!!!!
    please can anybody help me out for this coz i m looking for a good condition w123 5 speed gearbox coz it came in 1984 and 1985 models and after 1985 w123 ceased to produced........
    hope i get some help from here... PA PA PA PA

    sorry for saying but guys please answer me in english (lolz) coz i don't know romanian

    5-speeds are quite rare. You can also fit, if you find it, a 5-speeder from a 280S or SE W126 or W116, or gasoline-powered W123 250 or 280. If existant, this sort of gearbox usually gets sold, along with all the stuff needed (e.g. the specific driveshaft, specific shifting lever and the connecting rods etc.) for 4 hundred euros.
    Everything clear ?

          thanks buddy!!!! actually w123 are great cars,,, and i have been looking for w123 gearbox for long time but now i will see for 280 or 250 gearbox too...
          hope i get it someday

            and i would like to share a video among all u guys this is video from finland, that guy modified his w123 with big turbo and supercharger and intersooler and mobil oil cooler too.check it out it is awsomehttp://youtube.com/watch?v=czV3fwZ73gc

              This video is f***ing awesome. My god, how he manage to do his car like that???. The sound of the engine at the end of the clip is so f***ing great. Sound almost like an SLR :| and I'm not laughing. If you know something about him or his car, tell us tooo. That's so great.

              P.S. And he didin't accelerate to the maxim of torque to do those donuts: AWESOME.
